What does AI FORA mean?
In more and more countries, policymakers increasingly use Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms for the provision of public services and state benefits. This raises ethical, philosophical, and social questions and leads to important issues about responsibility, accountability, transparency and the quality of social decision.
AI FORA is a research project that studies the use of AI systems in public goods provision around the world. With a participatory and emancipatory research approach AI FORA aims at providing better AI and a more just use of digital technology. Read more

On November 3rd the Spanish case study has its first workshop. With a combination of talks and gamification methods the Spanish case study team at the University of Girona started their public research.

The Safe Spaces workshop in Kloster Nütschau and Camaldoli takes place. The heads of all safe spaces for the AI FORA come together and discuss the challenges of this task.

The cornerstone of the social sciences is empirical work. On June 22nd the German case study conducts its first workshop. The agenda for the workshop is centered around gamification methods.
